We are situated in Montagaud, North of Gueret, in the very heart of the fantastic Creuse department. It is a very beautiful area with an abundance of woodlands, lakes, rivers and peaceful countryside.  

                   

There is easy access to the local villages and towns with their shops, markets, restaurants, and of course, a chocolatier! 

 


The Limousin is known as the land of 1000 lakes and we are close to some gorgeous examples. They have some wonderful beaches, which are suitable for safe swimming, and offer all types of water sports including canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, fishing etc.
 


Golf, horse riding, cycling, walking and wildlife parks are all nearby.

There are many historical churches and Abbeys on the old pilgrim routes, of which there are many passing through the Creuse.

 It really is a perfect location for either an action packed holiday, or a place for a peaceful and spiritually refreshing break.

Travel By Road:  We are an easy and comfortable drive on the auto routes from the ferry ports in the North. Approx 7 hrs drive from Calais, Boulogne and Dunkirque. And approx 6.5 hrs drive from Caen. Simple to follow driving instructions from Northern France will be sent with your booking confirmation.

Travel By Air:  Flights to Limoges airport are available from Stansted, Southampton, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Jersey, Guernsey and Liverpool. Car hire is readily available from the airport or airport transfers to the retreat can be arranged. Please contact us for price details.

Travel By Rail: Trains from Waterloo and Ebbsfleet run to Paris where a connecting TGV train to Limoges takes approx 6 hrs from the UK. Car hire can be arranged from Limoges or a short SNCF train ride to Gueret can be made easily and inexpensively. Transfers from Limoges and Gueret, to the retreat can be arranged.
